I recently found out that my sweet boy, Gus, needs an anal sacculectomy. His anal sacs are abnormal, swollen, and causing him a lot of discomfort. He’s in pain, and rarely uses his litter box, and his vet is concerned about his condition. Gus is only (almost) 3yrs old and has always had chronic issues with his anal glands. The issue has recently progressed and he now needs to get them removed as they seem abnormal and the vet is unable to drain them anymore. Without this surgery, Gus’ quality of life will only get worse. The surgery needs to be performed by a specialist in Montreal as soon as possible. The estimated cost is $2,600–$2,800, excluding any medication and the expenses of traveling to and from Montreal. Unfortunately, I’m currently between jobs and don’t have the means to cover this all on my own.
Gus has been by my side through so much, and now I want to make sure he gets the care he deserves.
I’m humbly asking for your help to raise some funds needed for his surgery and recovery. Every little bit counts—whether it’s a donation or even just sharing this page.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting Gus and helping give him the chance to live comfortably and happily again.
