This year will mark the 550th birthday of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. As a visionary, feminist, and innovator, Guru Nanak was a revolutionary leader who stood up for the rights of people on the fringes of society. 

Despite his vision and the relevance of his teachings -- virtually no Americans have heard of Guru Nanak. 


In an effort to educate our neighbors about Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the National Sikh Campaign and We Are Sikhs have launched an initiative to create a comprehensive documentary on his vision to create a more equal society.

The documentary will air on 200+ public television stations. We will also host interfaith dinners, events with local legislatures, and develop a robust digital media campaign on his life and contributions. 

We know from years of research and practice his message of equality and tolerance will resonate with people all over the world.
