This child's name is Gurman Singh. He is a resident of Maur Mandi, District Bathinda and this child is suffering from Thalassemia Major disease. This child has to have blood transfusion every 15 days. The permanent treatment of this disease is bone marrow transplant, for which the child has been admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Hospital in Delhi. Here the treatment of the child will take five months and the cost of the treatment has gone up to 45 lakhs.
For the financial help of the child, 3 lakh rupees have been given from the PM fund and 6 lakh rupees from Khalsa Aid India. This child is very needy and belongs to a simple family. Gurman's father is a small shopkeeper. For them the cost is too high which seems to be out of their reach. All the donors are requested to provide maximum financial support to this child so that the treatment of the child is possible. The child's parents have been with the child in the hospital since July 22.
The child has to undergo chemo on 18th day, in which the child's own bone marrow will be completely dead and on the 19th day the child's new bone marrow will be transplanted. The baby's bone marrow donor is from Germany, whose bone marrow will reach the hospital on September 5. A lot of complications start after giving bone marrow, on top of which huge expenses start to be incurred. Therefore, all the donors are again requested to help the child so that the treatment of the child is possible and the child can get a new life.
The child's father was continuously searching for a bone marrow donor in hospitals for the treatment of the child for the last 10 years and has also been making people aware about this disease for the last 10 years.
Thank you
