Gurjant Singh Sohi, a 47-year-old husband and father, arrived in Australia just four months ago in search of a better future for his family. His wife and two young children, the youngest only 4 years old, are still back home in India waiting for him. But tragedy struck unexpectedly.

While travelling on the motorway recently, Gurjant was involved in a minor accident. Though his car was written off, he didn’t seem seriously injured at first. However, his blood pressure remained dangerously high for two days. Concerned for his health, we took him to the Ipswich Hospital Emergency Department on the advice of a local GP.

There, doctors noticed something was seriously wrong and immediately transferred him via ambulance to the Princess Alexandra (PA) Hospital in Brisbane. What followed has been nothing short of a nightmare.

Gurjant has undergone four brain surgeries in the span of just a few days. He is currently fighting for his life in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), barely conscious and facing the possibility of permanent paralysis on one side of his body.

His condition is critical, and the road to recovery is long and uncertain. As friends and community members, we are doing everything we can to support him—but we urgently need your help.
