Hello. I'm Juliet and I'm trying to save my cat Gunther's life. I have been living with major hardships for over 2 years. I lost my job, and 4 months later, I was diagnosed with stage 3b colon cancer. Surgery and chemo caused my disability, for which I filed for Disability Social Security, which took me a year to get approved. During that year, I was unable to make my mortgage payments and went into forbearance. Now, I am in foreclosure.
Two weeks ago, Gunther escaped through my legs outside. By the time I got him to come inside, he was in bad shape and bloody. It seemed as if he was mauled by a raccoon. I got him to the vet right away, and they did initial treatments. We've been going back and forth to the vet, trying different antibiotics to get the infections on his paws, sides, and belly under control. The puncture wounds on his belly were deep and had gotten hard with a white pus-filled infection (shown in the photos). After 2 weeks of back-and-forth vet exams and consults, Gunther has healed the external part where it turned brown (photo). Now, a large and deep pus pocket under his skin has developed and needs to be surgically removed. The cost is something I absolutely do not have. Gunther has plenty more years to be with me. Please help us?
Thank you so much.
