This is our 5 month old Belgian Malinois puppy Gunner who our world revolves around.

On March 22, 2022 our baby boy was pinned under a bus while being let out into the front yard. Gunner has been a champ through this entire process, but he has sustained some pretty terrible injuries.

Gunner’s major injury being the skin on top of his little paw being ripped off, which has also damaged some of the underlying tissues and left the bone to one of his toes exposed. Gunner is in so much pain, he has to be sedated for his daily bandage changes and wound cleanings. Due to this, we have to leave our boy at the hospital with constant continued care through Monday. After Monday, he will have a large amount of visits to the vet which will include; changing of dressings, checking for dead skin, and his over all health. After that, we will know as healing continues, but we’re prepared for a possibility of 2 surgeries including skin grafts and a toe amputation.

All of this has left us with a hefty veterinary bill and future bills to come. My family and I are so grateful for the friends and family who have been here for the past few day and we are thankful for even $1 or just a share! Really anything will help get our boy back to feeling his old puppy self!

He has been in great hands at West Hills Animal Hospital in Huntington, and we are very thankful for their care.
