Gunner’s Surgery

Hi Friends,

This is Gunner. He is an 8 month old Shepherd mix who enjoys catching frisbees, swimming and chewing everything in sight. Sometime last week, he chewed something that proved his stomach is not made of titanium. This morning, we had to bring him into the VCA Hospital and learned that he needs emergency life saving surgery. Without thinking twice, Thomas and I made the decision to follow through knowing that this would be hard financially.

We did not have an easy road before finding Gunner. Earlier this summer, we were driven to find a furry babe and the puppy (Ronin) we were given ended up being deathly ill and died within 24 hours of us taking him home.

Despite how traumatic that experience was for us, we did not give up on trying to open our home to a puppy that needed a caring and loving home. We found Gunner at a Rescue in LA called Lilly’s Love Bugs where he had been rescued with his two brothers from an unhealthy situation. He was not what we expected but 1000% what we needed and we knew the minute we brought him home that he was the missing piece to our family. And even if it’s taking Luna a while to adjust to her knew brother, we know that she loves him just as much as we do.
