We are pleading to the public to put pressure on Sebastian's immigration lawyer, Erika N. Salter, P.C., who has been working unsuccessfully on his case since 2021. Sebastian married a U.S. citizen in 2019. Victims paid firm est. 8k.

What Happened:
On November 17, 2023, in Duncanville, Texas, two Latino brothers were followed home to their driveway after cashing their paychecks from their construction job. The suspects, driving a red Challenger, parked three houses away from their driveway. Two suspects exited the vehicle and approached the stairs leading to the driveway. The armed suspect asked, "Where's the money at?" Sebastian drew his defense weapon, and the armed suspect quickly fired two to three shots, hitting Sebastian in the back. The two suspects were seen running back to the red Challenger. The suspects fired four to five times in total. Brother David attempted to follow them but was unsuccessful. Sebastian Avila lay injured alone, bleeding for three to four minutes. His brother David returned from the chase and found him lying on the driveway, bleeding. Sebastian's wife hysterically called 911, and two good Samaritans aided Sebastian. Police arrived five to six minutes later, and EMTs and firefighters arrived eight to ten minutes after the shots were fired. The homeowner, Jaime Avila, the victim's uncle, had eight cameras surrounding the incident. The footage was downloaded to a personal USB drive and handed to the detective between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. The family is devastated and feels unsafe. Sebastian is away from his 3-week-old miracle baby and wife. No information or request for help in finding the suspects or the vehicle was released by the police department. News media helped spread awareness and put pressure on the police department to respond to the general public, however, the police have not personally contacted the victim's family since the unfortunate Friday incident night.

Immigration Lawyer Help
We are pleading to the public to put pressure on Sebastian's immigration lawyer, Erika N. Salter, P.C., who has been working unsuccessfully on his case since 2021. Sebastian married a U.S. citizen in 2019. The victim's family has spent between $8,000 and $10,000 in fees to her firm. We informed the law office about the incident that Sebastian experienced, but no compassion was shown to the victim or his wife. The firm only informed us that no refunds will be given or help will be provided, as per their contract. We are seeking any immigration lawyers who may be willing to assist with his case. Justice for Sebastian!
