Hello all, I’m 51 yrs old. I served honorably in the US Marines from 1986-1992 and a Gulf War Vet. I scheduled neck surgery to stop living a life of pain and migraines 24/7. I thought i had short term disability but was told since it was pre-existing I would only receive $125/week and that claim has not even been processed by insurance company. My surgery was covered by the Veterans Admin thank God. 
The last year I’ve had to take numerous days off for stomach cancer screening, Barretts
Esophagus treatment and the unexpected
death of a brother on Dec. 12th. My home suffered a broken water line inside in may and still fighting with insurance and Wells Fargo to make repairs.   I’ve been out of work since Dec. 12th. I was fortunate to be able to make my home mortgage payment for January but have no more savings or income to pay anything else. My vehicle is being repo’d this week because i have not been able to keep up the payments which has since destroyed my credit.
This is the first time in my adult life that I have ever been out of work. I’m not asking for a handout but a handup.
