Gulf Breeze Cottages; Recovery from Hurricane Ian

With a sad and heavy heart, I have to formally announce that Gulf Breeze Cottages has been completely destroyed. It is heartbreaking to see them gone and just see vacant land. No one could have ever imagined this level of destruction; it's catastrophic.

We have shared with our loyal guests 44 years of fond memories. We are starting this GoFundMe page in hopes to raise money to either rebuild or go in a new direction. We don't want to give up on Gulf Breeze Cottages! #sanibelstrong

As Many of our guests know, we are a family business. Gulf Breeze Cottages was our passion. Charley, my husband, who passed away in 2011, and I started this dream together. We went through Hurricane Charley in 2004, even with all the damage to our beautiful cottages and our own home. We pushed forward and rebuilt. When Hurricane Irma came through in 2017, we once again had some damage to the cottages and my home. Gulf Breeze Cottages stayed strong through all these years.

Going forward, I hope to bring the cottages back to life.

This is a current photo of the entire property besides 12 and 12A

This second picture is what remains of our beautiful cottages.

We are devastated as a family, a business, and your friend. Please consider donating to Gulf Breeze Cottages. I know this is a hard time for everyone in South West Florida, and there is no pressure to donate. Funds will be used to help Gulf Breeze Cottages and their employees to recover and rebuild. God Bless.
