Hi, my name is Naomi, and I’m currently volunteering at Cando School in Pangsei, Cambodia. This small community school provides free English, Khmer, Computer and Chinese classes to local children who otherwise wouldn’t have access to quality learning opportunities.
At the moment, the school has more students than it can comfortably accommodate. There are a total of 150 students and 4 classrooms. Some lessons have to take place outdoors or in shared spaces, which makes learning harder. To give every child a safe and focused place to learn, we are hoping to build a few more simple classrooms so every child has a proper place to learn and feel comfortable.
The total cost for the construction of one classroom is 2,500 dollars. This amount will go directly toward materials, local labor, and essential classroom items such as desks, fans, and whiteboards. Even small donations can make a big difference here and also support the local community.
I have seen how much this school means to the kids and teachers. They show up every day with so much energy, curiosity, and excitement, even when resources are limited. With your help, we can give them a proper space to learn, grow, and dream of a brighter future.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Your kindness and support in this project helps give children in rural Cambodia a real chance to learn and grow.
With gratitude,
Naomi
