Giuseppe's Medical Bills

Our Story: 

It’s been a difficult week for our beloved Giuseppe. Five years ago Giuseppe was rescued by his loving family who saved him from being a stray in the South, where he was found during Hurricane Katrina. After adjusting to his new life in New York, Giuseppe became a certified therapy dog helping everyone from students to seniors cope with life’s daily stressors.

Last week, Giuseppe’s back legs gave out from under him without warning. Distraught, his family has taken him to multiple veterinarians and orthopedic specialists in search of an answer. This sudden-onset paralysis is suspected to be the result of a ruptured spinal disk or a hernia. In order to determine exactly what is causing Giuseppe pain, the veterinarians need to perform an MRI. In order to resolve this issue as quickly as possible, Giuseppe will be placed under anesthesia for the MRI then taken into surgery immediately after the test is completed. Currently Giuseppe’s pain is being managed by five daily pills, but surgery is still required.

Dogs are more than just companions. They are family members who walk on four legs. In this uncertain economy, it isn’t always easy to give the kind of care to our four-legged family as it should be. This GoFundMe page is dedicated to the financing Giuseppe’s medical bills resulting from his upcoming MRI, surgery, and rehabilitation. All funds received will go directly to Giuseppe’s expenses, and any extra will be donated to the North Shore Animal League. Any donation is greatly appreciated.
