Guilsborough Academy Duke of Edinburgh's Award Programme

Hi, I'm Steve Flanagan and I run the Duke of Edinburgh's Award at Guilsborough Academy, Northamptonshire, UK. Budgets are tight and we aim to keep our costs as low as possible, so we are looking for help to raise funds to purchase new tents, rucksacks and stoves. This equipment will have regular use on our in-house expeditions and will be used to remove financial burdens from some of our students' families, enabling them to participate in this life changing award. Our existing equipment has sadly not stood the test of time or the British weather!

Each year we have between 160-200 students starting an award programme. Our desire is to see as many as possible succeed and finish. By providing access to equipment on loan, we can remove barriers to participation and invest in the futures of these young people.
