Recuperacion para Guillermo "Ojichan" Tayrako

On Oct. 16th 2019, Guillermo "Ojichan" Tayrako, my 94 year old father, suffered from a very bad fall and was taken directly to the hospital. They diagnosed him with a brain hemorrhage, broken skull and broken back. He was on the verge of being operated, but after much thought and prayer we decided against the surgery. Thankfully, with time, the hemorrhage reduced in size and he was on a slow pace back to recovery.
Two months later he experienced another accident, and on January 8th, he was admitted back into the hospital for an emergency brain operation. The hemorrhage was pushing his brain and there was a big risk of him losing his life. Miraculously, he survived the surgery and is now on a slow recovery process.
Unfortunately, Ojichan’s international insurance policy from Peru had only a specific amount of coverage and it has been completely exhausted due to high medical bills. Since October, he’s had to stay in the hospital for weeks, and has had to also do mental and physical therapy so he can recover strength. With the grace of God, he will be able to enjoy more years of life with his family and friends.
The funds that you will be donating for Ojichan will be used to help pay some medical bills, and this intense rehabilitation process. Without insurance in the U.S., these expenses are very difficult to cover “out of pocket”. We’ve tried every resource we could, and this was our last and only resort. This is an urgent matter for us and this is the only option we have to find a solution to this unfortunate situation as quickly as possible.

El 16 de octubre de 2019, mi padre Guillermo “Ojichan” Tayrako, de 94 años, sufrió una grave caída y tuvo que ser trasladado al hospital. Dijeron que tuvo una hemorragia cerebral, así como rotura en el cráneo y la espalda. Lo iban a operar pero tras pensarlo y rezar muchísimo, al final decidimos que no se operaría. Por suerte, pasó un tiempo y la hemorragia se redujo, y estaba siguiendo paso a paso el camino para recuperarse.
Dos meses después, sufrió otro accidente. El 8 de enero fue ingresado de nuevo en el hospital para una operación vascular de emergencia. La hemorragia estaba presionando su cerebro y corría el riesgo de perder la vida. Fue un milagro que sobrevivió la operación y sigue recuperándose.
Por desgracia, la póliza internacional del Perú ha cubierto una cantidad limitada de dinero y que ya se ha gastado por completo al pagar las elevadas facturas médicas. Desde octubre, ha estado semanas en el hospital y ha hecho una rehabilitación mental y física para recuperar su fuerza. Con la gracia de Dios, mi papá será capaz de disfrutar más años de vida con la familia y amigos.
El dinero que estarás donando a Ojichan será usado para ayudarle a pagar algunas de sus facturas médicas y este costoso y difícil proceso de rehabilitación. Sin un seguro en Estados Unidos, es muy difícil cubrir estos gastos solos. Hemos intentado hacer todo lo posible y este es nuestro último y único recurso. Se trata de una cuestión urgente para nosotros y esta es la única opción que tenemos para encontrar una solución a esta desafortunada situación, y que hacerlo lo más rápido posible.
