Guild Ball WTC Interviews - AP

Spende geschützt
The Guild Ball World Team Championship is coming up! An excellent event that reminds us of all the amazing communities that exist all around the globe that play this game we enjoy. Sometimes, we don't always get to hear all of these voices in the larger game community.

So with that, I Mike the Dog Klein will be doing short interviews with various GB players from around the world who are attending/have attended the WTC. Topics will include discussion of regional, national and local communities, perspectives on WTC, the game, tactics, strategy, etc.

So far, you can expect to hear from amazing players from:

Spain
England
Scotland
USA
France
Sweden
New Zealand
Poland
Austria
Germany
UAE

My story
Been playing GB since early s2. Fell in love with the game, started traveling around the east coast and the US to play competitively. Made lots of great friends along the way. Loved the game enough to start a podcast (Anatomical Precision)
. Went to last year's WTC on one of the USA teams, met even more amazing people in the community. Recently moved across the US with my wife to Albuquerque, New Mexico. With moving and buying a house, and now being quite far away from a solid GB community, had to bow out of attending WTC again this year, and really all of the major US tournaments for the year.

So why a fundraiser?

1. I think that climate change is one of the fundamental and defining challenges of this era in human history. We as a society have the responsibility to do all we can to become sustainable and responsible stewards of our planet and environment, for both ourselves and future generations. As such, I was hoping that the global GB community could come together in the spirit of the WTC to contribute to saving our planet.
2. Moving across the US has been a big challenge in regards to continuing to play and enjoy the game of guild ball with the community I love. Especially since those that do know me know how much I love to travel for the game. With that, I am hoping to go to US Nationals this year, but need some support to make that a reality.

So what does this all mean?

All of the interviews will be released for free via the Anatomical Precision podbean feed. https://anatomicalprecision.podbean.com/feed.xml
There is no exclusive content. If you like what you hear, or want to support, you can pay what you want via GoFundMe.

Where does the money go?

50% of your donation will go to a charity dedicated to combatting climate changeand protecting the environment. Currently, I have chosen the NRDC (National Resource Defense Council) https://www.nrdc.org/ . This is a US based organization. I am also looking at international based organizations as well.

The other 50% will go towards travel and accommodation to the US Eastern National Event at Second Wind in Chicago. However, this money will only be used should we reach at least 75% of the funding goal. If this benchmark is not met, 100% of all contributions will go towards charity.

Any funds exceeding the funding goal will be 100% donated to charity as well.

The wonderful Sam from Longshanks.org has offered to match (up to a cap) the 50% of all contributions directed towards charity. So for every 1 dollar/euro/etc. you contribute, 1 dollar will go towards a great organization(s) and 50 cents will support myself and the content.

The first interview s should be up by September 14th and will continue up to (and likely past) the WTC.
