The second week of August, Joe Guido, an ambitious, hard working, loving father of three was in a near fatal motorcycle accident in Southern California.

His parents immediately flew into California from New Hampshire and have remained by his side. Joe was clinging to life in the ICU, but he has shown us time and time again over the last 8 weeks that he is a fighter, just like his father, a 5 & 1/2 year inoperable stage 3 pancreatic cancer survivor.
While he is putting in so much effort, making strides in his recovery, he still has a very long road ahead of him and will require 24/7 caretaking following his release from the hospital.
His parents and a few others are doing everything they can to help, but unfortunately are not in a place to continue providing for him financially until he can provide for himself again , due to their own permanently disabling medical conditions and living expenses back home in New Hampshire. They have exhausted their resources. Some have asked if there is anyway to help, so we have set this page up to help defray costs of a suitable/accessible place for Joe to live in the area that would allow him to remain near his children, continue his care with the doctors who saved his life and receive rehabilitation services. These donations will also help cover the adaptive equipment needed, transportation costs for treatment, medical bills, around the clock care, etc. needed for Joe's recovery.
We hope that these things will give Joe the best chance at a full recovery and the ability to eventually live independently again. We appreciate all the love and support received from everyone. Any little bit helps, please share this link with your family and friends if you can.
