Guesthouse Employee Relief Fund
Donation protected
Hi All,
My name is Dustin. I'm one of the owners of a restaurant in Kentfield, CA called Guesthouse.
I'm sure everyone is a little inundated with stories of restaurants struggling right now. Clearly it's a strange time and the world has in many ways come to a grinding halt. For me what is truly sad, is just how much it hurts our employees. While we do our best to get them some hours here and there, there is simply not enough work. Not enough work, and therefore not enough money.
We need your generosity. They need your generosity. We have 25 active front of house employees. Our goal is to raise $50,000 to distribute among them evenly. That equals $2000 per employee. In most cases not enough to pay rent. Considering that most likely they'll be out of work for 2 months at least that equals about $1000 per person per month best case scenario. Certainly not a ton. But maybe enough for some groceries. Some diapers. Something.
While we are providing to go food we are also using those gratuities from the to go food to create a fund for our employees as well. If you're hungry, this is another great way you can support their cause. 100% of all of these funds will go to our employees in the form of a check.
I am not a rich man by any means but I will be putting the first $1000 into this fund. My business partner Peter will be matching me. Our employees are not only amazing people, but they are family to me as well. Anything you can do to help is hope. And hope is what's going to get us through this.
Thank you,
Dustin
