Jackie Guerra has lived a life of epic proportions.
ORIGINAL STORY (2020):
In her very brief 35 years, (soon to be 36 on August 30th), Jackie has overcome not one, not two, but seven open heart surgeries as a result of congenital heart failure. She is on her 9th pacemaker, has had a double lead transplant, and has had 4 C-sections. But it doesn't end there. She lost her first daughter in a tragic accident in 2013.
The hardships, trials, tribulations and challenges that Jackie has faced have been unparalleled. Truly, a novel would not be enough to tell her story.
And still, though all of these tragedies, Jackie has been a shining beacon of joy, love and happiness to so many. She has three beautiful children and a loving husband, as well as a support group that grows larger by the hour.
Today, Jackie embarks on her next great battle. Cancer.
On July 24th, Jackie was diagnosed with Leukemia. While very little is known at this early stage, we know this will be the hardest battle that Jackie and her family must face. Jackie will be in the hospital for several weeks and will be unable to see her children, husband, or family and friends due to Covid-19.
This leaves her husband, Matt, a single father for the time being. Not only will the Guerra family need help with medical bills, but child care, food, and other emergency funds that may arise during this very difficult time.
