Hey all, as a lot of you may know my dad Scott has been sick with Covid which has progressed into a bad case of double pneumonia. I personally brought him to the hospital via ambulance myself after a week of him lying in bed with worsening breathing after a Covid exposure. My father was concerned of getting others sick which resulted in him staying home in attempt to fight the illness on his own. He was admitted to a local hospital on Halloween for about a week prior to transfer to a higher level of care via Medivac flight Friday afternoon. My dad has been on high flow oxygen therapy and is doing his best to fight- Which I know he will fight this and come home, however, even when he does come home it will be on some form of oxygen until he is healed. My father has always been my rock and protector. It is now my turn to be his while he is working on improving his breathing . There is going to be a great amount of medical bills as well as personal during this time of illness. He has always busted his behind doing manual labor making sure I have always had anything and or everything I need growing up. Not to mention taking his grand daughter every week since she was a baby so I can work an extra shift. I know he will be too proud to ask for additional help and his answer will always be "I'm fine" which will be why I am stepping up and asking for a little help from the community as he will not be able to work for quite some time between the hospital and his recovery at home when the time comes. I am trying to alleviate some stressors off of his plate so he can focus on what’s itmportant- healing. Any contribution helps. For any updates on how my father is doing- Please reach out to myself or his Aunt Terry and we will pass along any messages to him. I know you got this dad. One breath at a time. <3
