As today July 4th. 2018 in a press conference in Guatemala, they have determined that about 2,900 people are missing from the Fuego Volcano tragedy, according to "Metereolgia GT".
Firefighters, volunteers and families are still in the search of their missing love ones. They still need volunteers, special equipment for rescue so they can go to zone O to search for the remains of missing families.
We are collecting funds for our heroes; firefighters, volunteers and resucue teams. In order to support these teams and help them finding missing families, the regional search and rescue teams are in need fom boots, new equipment and assistance. This campaign is supported by Madre Luna and our volunteer people who are helpinig to collect this items and deliver directly to our heroes. We are a brand based in California, USA who is inspired by culture and created for social change. We design one of a kind items like boots and fashion accessories produced by our artisan partners in Guatemala. We believe our artisans are the core value of our business. They are the hands behind our beautiful textiles and shoes, without them we wouldn't be here. In this hard time, we want to stand behind them by helping our community and people in Guatemala.
EVERYTHING WILL BE TAKEN DIRECTLY TO THE PEOPLE AFFECTED AND OUR HEROES.
HOW WE WILL USE THE FUNDS
1. My names is Alda Escobar, founder of Madre Luna. I'm from Guatemala and together with Madre Luna volunteers will be delivering all items we purchased in person to our volunteer firefighters " Compañia Numero 1" in Guatemala with director Luis Paniagua.
2. All receipts from purchases, photos and videos of all items donated will be posted in our facebook and instagram page.
