Guatemala Service Fundraiser/Safe Passage
Tax deductible
In the summer of 2017 I made my first trip to Guatemala with my parents and other youth from our congregation. We went to work on a Support Team at Safe Passage/Camino Seguro. The experience that I had with this organization a year and a half ago moved me toward supporting a sponsor child each month with my family and made me want to return again to volunteer and see our sponsor child.
This coming April break my mom and I will return to Safe Passage to volunteer and see our sponsor child. Mom is paying our traveling expenses but I would like to provide a donation to Safe Passage for their work. I have asked for holiday gifts to be donations instead of stuff but I could use more help. Safe Passage is a worthy non-profit and I would really appreciate any support you can give them on my behalf.
Safe Passage is a non governmental organization which helps children in the Guatemala City garbage dump community break the cycle of poverty through education, emphasizing life skills and perseverance in order to thrive in work and contribute to their community. They are doing powerful work and me and my mom will volunteer time for one week, work with the some of the kids on a project, and spend a day with our sponsor child.
Please consider giving to Safe Passage and helping me help them. Here's a link for more information. https://www.safepassage.org/
I can't wait to go back in April and work towards good.
Sincerely,
Frankie
