Guatemala Fuego Volcano Crisis

As you may know, the Fuego volcano in Guatemala erupted yesterday leaving over 60 people dead, hundreds missing and/or injured:

Being far from home limits my options on how I can help but raising funds is surely one of them. Unfortunately I haven’t found a trust-worthy online fund-raising effort and since local Guatemalan emergency response entities typically pocket a lot of the money, I decided to make my own GoFundMe. I plan to send whatever I collect to my brother in Guatemala, who’s company is collecting donations locally. He will be purchasing and delivering the supplies personally in order to avoid potential fraud. He will be acquiring basic medical supplies (antibiotics, eye drops, cough syrup, Ibuprofen, burn ointments, disinfectants, etc.) and personal hygiene products, which are need the most. He’ll then provide proof of purchase and photos of the delivery for me to share.
