Guatemala Food Security

Mother Teresa said “I used to pray that God would feed the hungry, or do this or that, but now I pray that he will guide me to do whatever I'm supposed to do, what I can do. I used to pray for answers, but now I'm praying for strength. I used to believe that prayer changes things, but now I know that prayer changes us and we change things.”
I had a friend reach out and ask if I could help with the crisis in Guatemala. When tourism stops? Many people have no income. These people don't have a pantry full of food to rely on. They buy what they need...day to day.
Covid is hard enough to deal with....but the food insecurity. My friend say "starvation has invaded Guatemala".
I've already sent food down to the families we have built for and the projects we support...but there are so many others. It feels like emptying the ocean with a teaspoon. If you have read the starfish story....we may not be able to save everyone...but to the ones we touch? We make a difference.
$15 will feed a family of 5 for a week...please consider donating....$2 will feed a family for a day. No amount is too small. I can tell you that the people I work with are doing this on their own...their is no overhead costs. ALL of the money goes straight to food for the families.
