Guatemala Volcano Eruption Fund
Donation protected
We are a team of volunteers living in Antigua, Guatemala that are going to the shelters on a daily basis and who understand their needs. We are also coordinating with public, private, and non-governmental institutions to make sure that we are acquiring the goods that are needed most at this point in time.
How will we make sure that the goods get to the people who need it the most?
We're working alongside SERES and Impact HUB Antigua . Both of these organizations have contacts at the shelters in Alotenango and Escuintla including the municipality and the mayor's office. SERES also works closely with the families of El Rodeo so their team is on the ground every day.
How will we get the funds to Guatemala as fast as possible?
Aaron is a U.S. citizen with a U.S bank account. He will be able to make purchases from Guatemala with his credit card so that we don't have to incur lofty transaction or exchange fees.
What happens after the crisis?
Please also consider donating to long-term relief efforts for the more than 3,000 people who lost everything in these communities.
We want you to know that we are committed to transparency and to making sure that your funds are well managed. We'll be sharing updates on a daily basis and sending pictures of receipts, materials, and hand offs when relevant. It takes less than 5min to donate and will make a world of difference to those who need us most at this time.
Love,
Michelle
