Guarisco Louisiana Flood Relief

Meet the Guariscos. Mike and Dana Guarisco have built their home in Walker, Louisiana. Walker is a small city 21 miles east of Baton Rouge, and this city was impacted by the devastating LA Flood. They have lived in this home for 16 years, and like many, their house had never flooded, was not in a flood zone, nor they did not have flood insurance. In this home they have raised 3 sons, all of whom lived there until they were married. And now with families of their own, Mike and Dana help raise their grandchildren. Over the past 16 years they have created a beautiful home and have made a lifetime of wonderful memories. And now….

The flood water has ruined everything they own…house, cars, beds, tables…everything…

The walls of their home are now gutted creating mounds of debris on the roadside…

Their belongings destroyed completely…damaged beyond repair…

The once beautiful memories now tainted with the fear of forgetting as memorabilia are thrown in the garbage…

They are being forced to throw away their lives…piece by piece…

Everything they owned is gone. Everything!As we try to assist and support this family, the destruction is far more than one person…one family…can imagine nor manage on their own. And like many other families, they are struggling to figure out how they will recover and rebuild…how to replace a home…not just a house. I have personally known Mike for 28 years and he is more than an employee, he is family. And when his family aches…we all ache. Our office is in Hammond, LA, about 27 miles east of Walker, LA. Any and all monies received will be used to rebuild their house, replace furniture, beds, appliances, flooring, clothing, electronics and household items.
