Hello, my name is Taj Rhodes. I am raising funds to get emergency and regular adult guardianship over my brother Dayyan Rhodes. My brother is currently in the ICU with severe DAI (Diffused Axonal Brain Injury) and broke bones along the both of his legs. My brother was hit by a car on the highway, he has been homeless for 5 years and has unfairly lived a life of tragedy. We don’t have parents that are in our lives to help support us. Our adoptive mother kicked my brother out of the house when he turned 18 and was left to fend for himself even with his mental disabilities. He was raised with myself and my younger sister, he was a light and joy to be around and now he may never be able to talk or walk again. Now, I ask for your help in getting guardianship so I can make the decisions to best care for my brother and ensure he isn’t taken advantage of by the same person who sent him to the world on his own.
