Guardian Angel Fundraiser

Hey everyone, my name is Skiesti and my family really needs your help. If you don't know me, I've been in the Overwatch community since the game came out in 2016 and have been in the streaming community since 2018.

As the donation goal is met, I'll increase it throughout the tournament.

My Stepdad Rich was the victim of a shooting. Around 12:30 am on March 12, 2023, an armed teenager entered the pizza place my Stepdad works at in the evening, and in a random act of violence, shot Rich in the head before fleeing the scene.

Rich was rushed to the hospital in critical but stable condition. He has suffered a traumatic brain injury and has lost his left eye. His recovery has been incredibly rocky. He was in a rehab facility briefly after being released from the ICU but he had a myoclonic seizure and was returned to the hospital where he's currently fighting for his life against an infection in his brain.

Although he's my stepdad, Rich has been the father figure in my life since I was 8 years old. My family has never necessarily been well off and with my dad not able to work and my mom being by his side every day for hours and hours on end, it's been harder and harder for them financially on top of the uncertainty of Rich's condition and recovery.

Our goal is to raise money to help with medical costs, equipment, medication and rehabilitation that will be associated with this incident as well as financial stress. It will be a long road to recovery with many expected and unexpected expenses.
