Today we find out our mother, Guadalupe Del Carmen Davila, has passed away in her sleep at the age of 50. My mother was a strong woman who has been facing many health complications for the past decade. She first had kidney failure and recently caught a blood disease in her heart. The doctors kept her hospitalized to manage her health and make sure she would be fine. My family all thought she was going to return home this following week, we visited her no more than two days ago, my mother was talking and smiling like any other day, we thought she was okay and ready to return home soon. Unfortunately, my mother was too tired. She had a beautiful soul and like a beautiful flower in a rose bush, they get picked first. It brings the family great sadness my mother will no longer be here with us but she is no longer suffering and is now with her passed friends and family. She will forever be in our hearts and be missed. My mother told us when it was her time to pass, she wanted to be cremated and her ashes thrown in the ocean. So we will fulfill my mother's dying wish as she asked. We will have a funeral service and a day of memorial before we cremate her.
