Free the nipple
2019 was one for the record books. I underwent 3 separate knee surgeries over the course of this past year. Not only was I unable to work for many months due to the physical nature of my job and rehabilitation, I also struggled with my mental health. However, I felt so fortunate for the support and love of my partner and close friends during one of the lowest points of my life.
All while this was going on I have been on a cancellation list for top surgery. Just when things were settling back to normal (work, school, volunteering and actually being able to work out again) I received a phone call on January 8th that I was next, I am going to get chest reconstructive surgery (top surgery) on January 29th. This long awaited surgery will take me one GIANT step closer to feeling more comfortable in my own body. All of this may come to a surprise to some of you. As vulnerable as this is I feel so excited about opening up my life to those of you who want to know more. Please feel free to ask questions. I would love to talk to you!
The financial burden in 2019 and now, having to take more time off, is extremely stressful. Any support you could extend would mean the world to me. I am deeply grateful just to have you in my life so no matter what, thank you for your love and support and for taking the time to read this.
Thank you,
J
