Race in 2016 Phillip Island Classic

My name is Dave Moss and since 1995 I have been working with motorcyclists all over the world to honor my mission of saving a life every day through education and training via my website (davemosstuning.com), YouTube channel (Dave Moss Tuning) and Facebook (davemosstuning). I have also been racing to further hone and develop my skills as a racer, coach and mentor to motorcyclists worldwide for road and track riding skill and knowledge development. I've been very fortuate to win several Championships with the American Federation of Motorcyclists in California since 2011.
I was recently invited to be a member of Team USA and travel to Phillip Island to compete in the 2016 Classic event on January 22nd to the 24th . This race event brings global attraction to Australia and riders travel from all over the world to compete and watch. Residents of Melbourne relish this event as the track is so close to them.
The money raised (50% of total expenses) will be used to buy airline tickets, hotel accommodation, transportation, fuel and tires for the race bike.
The donations need to be received by January 2nd 2016 so that I can budget based on the funds received.
How often does someone get invited to represent the country they live in and compete against other countries? This is the only motorcycle event format of its kind in the world, and it runs only once a year.
I feel very fortunate to be a part of this event and even more fortunate that the Team USA riders have extended this invitation to me. Many of us dream of such opportunities and given who you are, what you do and how respected you are in your community for what you give back, sometimes those dreams come true.
How do you say thank you to people that donate so that I can go to this event, help fellow team mates and race myself? You'd think it would be easy as a former English Language and Literature teacher - it isn't. It will be a once in a lifetime opportunity to do something I only watch on YouTube or via another rider's home video or hear from those who have been to the event.
It will be profound, moving, riveting and very challenging. I'm up for all of that and more!
