Dear Family and Friends,

Over the past few months, my sister Edith has been undergoing various tests and surgeries to treat cervical cancer. At her most recent appointment, her oncology team informed her that she will need an extensive combination of chemotherapy and radiation for about 8-10 weeks. Treatments will alternate days, Monday through Friday.

While Edith is currently covered by medical insurance through her work, we are uncertain how many hours she will be able to work once treatment begins. As many of you know, she is the main provider for herself and her son Santiago. Medical bills have already started to accumulate, and the toughest part of her treatment is yet to come.

We humbly ask for any contributions to help ease the financial burden during this difficult time. We understand that times are tough for many, so any amount—no matter how small—would be greatly appreciated. Durante estos ultimos meses, mi hermana Edith se ha sometido a varios estudios y cirugias para tratar el cancer de cuello uterino. En su cita más reciente, su equipo de oncología le informó que necesitará una combinación extensa de quimioterapia y radioterapia durante aproximadamente 8-10 semanas. Estos tratamientos se alternarán en días, de lunes a viernes. Edith actualmente está cubierta por un seguro médico a través de su trabajo, pero no estamos seguros de cuántas horas podrá trabajar cuando comience el tratamiento. Como muchos de ustedes saben, ella es el único sustento para ella y su hijo Santiago. Las facturas médicas ya han comenzado a acumularse y la parte más difícil de su tratamiento aún está por llegar. Humildemente pedimos cualquier ayuda para aliviar la carga financiera durante este momento de incertidumbre.
