David Carpenter's Memorial Fund
Donation protected
-The last 18 months has been a uphill battle with dad's cancer. He passed away 8/9/2022 from complications related to his illness. Any donations go straight to my mom to assist with expenses related to his illness.
We can all agree that 2020 has been tough on everyone. It’s the year that just keeps on giving-2021 isn't going so well either- and quite frankly #2022 sucks as well.
My dad David is 73, a retired law enforcement officer, a navy veteran, father, husband and the best Papa to 3 grandkids.
He went for an endoscopy, a week before Christmas, that revealed a 5cm mass in his esophagus, that is causing great difficulties. The biopsy confirmed our families worst fear my dad was diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma.
As anyone can imagine the cost of treatment will be exponential with both diagnosis. My brother and I want to be able to relieve any type of financial burden this may place on my parents, they could really use our help with the cost of testing, treatment, possible impending surgical procedures for both of them.
We would also greatly appreciate everyone’s prayers and well wishes. All the funds raised here will help go towards their medical expenses.

This will be his second cancer diagnosis in the last 7 years, first round he lost his kidney. Now what does this mean? My dad has one heck of a fight ahead of him. We meet with a thoracic surgeon on New Year’s Eve to discuss an official treatment plan.
My mom, his wife of almost 44 years, was diagnosed with Breast cancer shortly after my dad's diagnosis. This has been a hard diagnosis to hear. Earlier in 2020 she also lost a kidney to cancer. The struggle for them is quite real.
