Sarah was born with a rare genetic condition called Velo-Cardio Facial Syndrome or DiGeorge Sequence.  When she was an infant, she underwent 2 open heart surgeries and countless other surgeries to improve her quality of life.  She is such a strong and loving individual.  As her mother, I have had to make choices that would allow me to provide her with the support she needs to help her overcome her related disabilities.  That is why I created the paddleboard company, so she could work with me. If you have ever paddled with me or worked out in my studio, you know Sarah, her smile and her amazing spirit.  She is currently in need of major surgery to her mouth to allow her to have functional teeth and repair damage from a genetic condition and serious reflux issue causing erosion to her existing teeth. Sarah is allergic to nickel and suffered a severe reaction to braces. We have found a doctor in Seattle who can perform a surgery to pull down her existing teeth so that a  local dentist can repair the damage to her teeth and provide her with a functional chewing structure and a confident  smile.  If you know Sarah, you know she always has a big smile on her face.  Please help us to give her this opportunity to preserve that smile and repair it.  The cost of surgery and travel to Seattle after our insurance is over 115,000 and after insurance our upfront expense is 15,000.  We are asking our friends and family to find it in their hearts to donate to Sarah and her goal of repairing her beautiful smile.
