Help Mom Smile Again

Donation protected
Most people have no idea the immense medical trauma my mom has been through over the last two years. She has been quietly fighting her battle, but today we got some news that means the quiet fight must become very public and very loud.

For the last two years, the bone tissue in her mouth has been mysteriously dying off, taking her ability to hold teeth in with it. It took a year and a half of doctors' appointments, scans, misdiagnoses, surgeries, and ultimately the complete removal of her hard palate to discover the culprit was cancer. Mom had a bone graft done from her fibula after the removal and we have been waiting for her to be able to get implants done so she can finally eat regularly, talk, and smile again.

Mom has been struggling through the healing process because there always seemed to be minor setbacks, but today brought the biggest setback of all. Her doctor called and informed her that the first procedure she will need (the posts) will cost $50,000. Insurance will not cover a single penny. No matter the reason for dental implants, they deem this a cosmetic surgery. This is only the first procedure she will have to have, making the ultimate cost increasingly daunting.

Please consider giving to help Mom restore her smile. To know my mom is to love her. She has touched countless lives in Atlanta and Savannah and I'm begging you all to help this amazing, selfless woman.
