My name is John, and I desperately need your help.

I have been out of work since March 2025 due to my ongoing medical condition, Spina Bifida. Right now, I do not qualify for disability; I can't do any manual labor as I cannot stand for more than 30 minutes due to increased pain. I have made multiple attempts at gainful employment, but unfortunately, due to my condition, I have not been hired. I was evicted in June, and I am now residing with a friend. My two rescue cats, Mr. Gray and Hobbes (pictured), are my life, my world. I was fortunate enough to find a foster to provide a temporary home while I continue to search for gainful employment.

However, there is an option: driving rideshare. I would be able to work self-employed as it is something I have done in the past. Right now, I do not own a vehicle and have no funds to make a down payment. But rideshare companies such as Uber and Lyft provide for a weekly vehicle rental program, where for a fee you can start earning money immediately.

This fundraiser is to raise the financials required to rent a vehicle for two weeks, which will allow me to get on my feet and onward to independence. Help reunite me with my cats and become a productive member of society once more.
