Thank you for taking the time to read about Moose. Recently Moose was diagnosed with Masticatory muscle myositis, which is an autoimmune disease that attacks the muscles in his mouth and head. The first vet I took him to said there is nothing we can do to treat him so I got a second opinion from another vet. The second vet said that he may need to start immunosuppressants and or steroids to aid in progressing his healing. In order to start these medications, there is lab work that Moose needs to be sure his body can handle the medications.

I recently just started a second job from being an on call and not working nearly enough hours. I’m working on becoming stable again financially and it won’t be for another month or two before i’m able to fully save up for these costs. I’m asking any of those who can donate or share; it would be greatly appreciated. If Moose does not get this treatment, it could be very soon that he is in so much pain that he is not able to eat or drink anymore.

Moose has been my lifeline since I first adopted him in November of 2022. He saved me from the worst moments and situations of my life and i just want to make him as happy and comfortable as i possibly can.
