Help Sydonie Fight & Overcome Neurofibromatosis
Donation protected
Sydonie Roye was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis(type 2), a life-long illness in June 2013.
Neurofibromatosis is a GENETIC disorder that causes tumors to grow along one's nerves.
The first MRI she did showed multiple tumors on her brain and spine. Emergency surgery was done to remove one of the tumours that was pressing against the spinal cord, as it was determined that this could lead to paralysis. After this surgery she underwent rehab to learn to walk again. Since then, she also underwent a brain excision and surgery to remove a tumor on her brain to save the vision in her left eye.
As an NF2 patient, MRIs are mandatory annually or every 6 months depending on the growth rate of the tumors. Additionally, consultation with specialists such as ENT, ophthalmologist, neurologist and neurosurgeon is required. Her medical team has also stated that hearing loss is a risk based on where some tumors are located on the brain.
Despite her diagnosis, she has been spiritually uplifted by faith and has been living positively stating no matter what lies ahead God will take care of her.
Sydonie Roye - a warrior and faith believer, has been through five (5) surgeries at the age of 31; 3 cranial and 2 spinal; 2013, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022. She trusts that God will grant His miraculous healing upon her life and restore her health.
The tumors are still growing and causing imbalance with mobility issues. She is seeking your kind help to cover her medical expenses, as her family has exhausted resources.
Thank you for your kindness.
