Historic Flooding Has Devastated Golden Triangle Moose Lodge #874 — We Need Your Help Now

On October 26, Eustis, FL endured a catastrophic storm—17 inches of rain in just seven hours. Our beloved Golden Triangle Moose Lodge #874, Florida’s longest continuously chartered lodge and a cornerstone of this community for nearly a century, was left in ruins after being inundated with about 12 inches of water throughout the building.

Walls were soaked. Floors destroyed. Furniture ruined. Vital equipment lost. Today, the lodge stands silent—unable to open its doors.

No Insurance. No Backup. Just Us.

We have no flood insurance. Every dollar to rebuild must come from people who care—members, volunteers, and generous donors like you.

This lodge is more than bricks and mortar—it’s a lifeline. For over 100 years, the Moose has cared for children at Mooseheart and seniors at Moosehaven, while serving as a gathering place for generations in Eustis and Lake County. As we approach our 100th anniversary, we face the greatest challenge in our history. Without your help, this legacy could be lost.

Progress So Far

The Social Quarters is almost ready to open on a very limited basis. Much work remains to be done, and many items still need to be purchased—such as coolers, A/C units, and much more. The bills are mounting: well over $60,000 unpaid, with more than $30,000 already paid. We desperately need funds to pay off the outstanding bills, complete equipment purchases and finish the Lodge Dining and Event Hall.
