Meet our newest foster and medical case, she came with the name Meredith so that is what we are calling her right now. Meredith was just dropped off at Dr roses office as an emergency. She’s critical.
Yesterday Meredith sustained some sort of trauma, she was likely hit by a car. She was then taken to the shelter. I missed their email about her and because she was an adult (I primarily do kittens) no one called me on her. So this morning I immediately got in touch with the shelter and got the ball rolling to get her the care she needs.
She has a shattered femur, broken radius, dislocated ulna, head trauma, broken hard palate, pneumothorax, Scleral hemorrhage, and more. She’s very beat up.
Dr Rose and Dr Peress said to bring her in right away and they would fit her in on top of their already booked day. Whether we start with a CT scan, ortho surgery, or just simply a surgery.
We could be looking at anywhere from $5,000-$12,000 depending how many things Meredith needs. We are hoping less but preparing for the worst.
We were not at all prepared for a medical case like this. But I feel a very special angel sent her my way. Four years ago today was angel Allie’s last day on earth. I always trying to do something on her birthday and the day she passed to keep her memory alive. I think she sent me this kitty to help.
