Dear friends of San Lorenzo High School,
As many of you are aware, I am a product of SLZ and a proud Rebel! I participated in the sports program and although I wasn’t the greatest athlete, the program taught me a great deal about life and purpose. It taught me how to overcoming adversity through hard work, tenacity, standing up for what’s right, being grateful, and giving back to those in need. The San Lorenzo High School sports program was a building block in the path to my success and helped form the person I am today.
This program has helped many people just like me, but now, they need our help. The sports program in particular has suffered from the overall lack of school funding and this year they will be over $30,000 short in funding this year’s programs. They find themselves needing to ask the current student population to fund such items as uniforms, sports equipment and even gas to get to and from games. Many of the students simply don’t have the funds available for this and can’t afford to give.
For the past 12 years, I’ve made a personal donation to the sports program. With this year’s shortfall being over $30,000, I thought it’s time to use technology to help spread the word and allow others who care to help.
You don’t need to give a lot to make a difference. Any donation you can afford can make our dollars go further. The sports program instills great values in these high school students and I want to see that continue.
To help with the great cause, I will match every dollar donated through the end of this year and will send a free jump pass to Rockin' Jump to anyone who donates at least $25 ($100 donation will get you 4 Free Jump passes). Please help spread the word to your San Lorenzo friends and family by sharing our campaign and passing it on through social media.
Thank you for your donation to help keep the Rebels strong!
Sincerely,
Drew Wilson 94'
