In July 2026, six teams will set off on a 2000 mile road trip across Europe in cars that, in most sensible circumstances, would probably have been left on Autotrader.
This is GT26 - a five day challenge through France, Switzerland, Liechtenstein Germany and Belgium, tackling mountain passes, questionable weather, and even more questionable automotive decisions, all vehicles bought specifically for the challenge for £2000 or less.
There are rules.
Each team consists of two drivers, travelling in a decorated, road-legal car that must somehow survive over 2000 miles, alpine roads, potholes and poor decision-making. This is not a race - it's about teamwork, camaraderie and adventure, with mechanical heartbreak always a possibility.
At the end of the event, each team sells their car, with any money recovered above £2000 donated to charity.
Most importantly, GT26 is raising money for two causes that mean a great deal to us:
❤️ The League of friends - The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt
Supporting patients and services at one of the UK's leading orthopaedic hospitals, helping improve the experience of patients and families through viral support and fundraising.
❤️Lila's Legacy
Founded in memory of baby Lila, Lila's Legacy supports bereaved families experiencing the unimaginable heartbreak of baby loss. Through fundraising and support, it helps provide comfort to parents during their time in bereavement suites and supports charities doing extraordinary work for families of angel babies.
We'll be sharing the highs, lows, breakdowns, poor navigation, mountain roads and inevitable questionable moustaches along the way.
If you're able to support us - whether to help fuel the journey, prepare for the inevitable mechanical drama, or simply reward poor automotive judgement in aid of a good cause - we'd be hugely grateful.
Thank you for turning a terrible idea into something genuinely worthwhile.
