I am a 38 year old wife and mother of three beautiful children; with one on the way to college. While struggling  to maintain two jobs and get my degree; being only twelve credits away from my bachelors degree in Political Science at Hunter College, I had to take medical leave.  I was diagnosed about a month ago with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, stage 3.  I had my first of 6 treatments two weeks ago and received my first bill today. At almost $8,000 it will be impossible for me to pay for this and any further treatments plus the added cost of sending our oldest daughter to college.
