FGT-Island of Sri Lanka Flood Relief Fund 2025

The recent severe flooding across the Northern, Eastern, and upcountry regions of Sri Lanka has caused significant hardship for thousands of families. Many have been displaced, homes have been damaged, essential supplies have been lost, and immediate humanitarian assistance is urgently needed.

As a global Tamil diaspora organization committed to protecting our people’s welfare and dignity, the Federation of Global Tamils (FGT) is launching an emergency appeal to support flood-affected communities.

With the help of our community and well-wishers, we aim to provide:

Immediate Relief

- Dry ration packs for affected families

- ⁠Clean drinking water

- ⁠Essential medicines and hygiene kits

- ⁠Temporary shelter assistance

Short-Term Support

- School supplies for affected children

- ⁠Basic household items to help families restart their lives

- ⁠Assistance for vulnerable groups including elderly individuals, single mothers, and persons with disabilities
