In March 2017 I came out of a 1st floor window. I was put into an induced coma and my family and the medics did not know if I would survive, neither the outcome of the injuries sustained.
I had a broken back, punctured lungs and a head injury. I initially had major surgery which was an 11 hour job to put my shattered spine together.
My spinal cord had snapped.
When I came round from the coma (I have no memory of this) it was evident I could move my arms.
The outcome of my trauma is that I am paraplegic, paralysed from the breastline down.
In nearly 3 years I have been through a spinal unit, lived in semi supported accomodation and taught myself with support of course to live a determined independent life. I am blessed to be alive and the best is yet to come
This year I need help.
I have achieved everything by self motivation.
I need help with raising money for an electric wheelchair which unfortunately cannot be funded by our amazing NHS.
I have worked towards independence and the only obstacle in my way now is this which would give me a greater way of life and benefit my beautiful daughter massively.
Any little help is gratefully recieved.
There is a plan for my life clearly with plenty of hope. My experience will always benefit others who need the support I have had.
