Hey! My name is Sam and a close friend of mine, Katie, her 6 year old son Caleb was diagnosed last month with leukemia. Here is a message from her:

September 15, 2025, we received news no parent ever wants to hear. Our sweet boy has been diagnosed with leukemia. It has come completely out of no where to us.

We ask for your prayers, love, and positive thoughts as we begin this journey.

Katie just started her first year teaching in August, only to find out a month later her only son would be diagnosed with cancer.

Caleb is a ball of energy and a silly sense of humor with a gentle heart. What was a supposed to be a routine follow up appointment for Caleb, turned into a “you need to make an appointment with Children’s Hospital.” Caleb was feeling his normal self. He wasn’t acting sick, he has always been a rough playing boy so minor bruises wasn’t a cause for concern. They did not know what to expect certainly Cancer was the last thing.

So far, Caleb was had surgery to place his port, along with the start of chemotherapy. He has had multiple blood draws and biopsy’s.

ALL donations will be given to Katie for travel expenses and allowing her to be there for Caleb durning this time.
