Urgent dental work
Donation protected
Hey everyone!
A lot of you know me and a lot of you don’t, but my name is Paige I’m 27 and if you’re here to donate anything you can is much appreciated!! ❤️
Im currently in ESRF (End stage Real Failure) as we all know dental insurance is not only expensive but doesn’t always cover all that we need done to maintain our not only oral health but overall health.
I’m waiting to get approved for transplant, but before they approve me I need to have some serious dental work done. I can’t have any infection in my body at the time of transplant or after. And though I take very good care of my oral health, Type One Diabetes and Gastroparesis have other plans. So I have had a lot of root canal’s fail and that has led to some pretty bad infection that antibiotics all by itself won’t clear up. For everything I need done it is roughly 60k and like I said anything helps and immediately goes towards my dental work, any meds that may not be covered, and travel to get to the many appointments I will have and it is much appreciated!!
Little back story:
I was diagnosed with Type One Diabetes when I was 8 years old so I’ve been living with it for almost 2 decades now, I got diagnosed with Gastroparesis in 2016 and to cut this short it means my stomach is partially paralyzed so I get sick a lot and it had ruined my teeth and I got root canal after root canal and unfortunately they have failed and have led to some infections that my body can’t just heal with antibiotics.
I got diagnosed with stage 3 kidney failure May of 2023 after losing my daughter in April. By February of 2024 I had progressed to Stage 5 which is end stage renal failure. I start the process of seeing if I’m going to need dialysis soon late July. And currently the transplant team is waiting to discuss my case to see if I get approved or not by the Transplant Committee.
The reason why I can’t have any type of infection in my body is bc I’m going to be on immune suppressing medication after transplant, and being a diabetic I already don’t have that great of and immune system so after transplant it will be even more difficult to try and clear up an infection that is already hard for my body to fight off.
