On behalf of my Aunt Chinitha Johnson & her family..
We were residents of the devastating Arden of Oakbrook fire
Approximately at 11pm on Friday, July 28th, our lives were turned upside down. Lightning struck our apartment building that ignited a fire on the roof. The fire spread rapidly, leaving us displaced from our home. We left the premise to sleep at a hotel, and returned at 7 am on Saturday, to find the fire still burning, the ceilings collapsed, everything flooded, and we no longer having a home. We are absolutely devastated, because we lost EVERYTHING. We had just moved into the apartment about 2 months ago & just had finished furnishing our 14 year old daughter’s room. We have nothing and are starting from ground zero, and your support would truly help us to start over. Our children age 7 and 14 were preparing to start school soon and we don’t have any personal documentation. We have found a new temporary home, but it requires a lot to get back everything that we lost. Please help if you can, anything helps.
- Thank you, keep us in your prayers.
