On October 5th Heather got the diagnosis. Cancer. Life will not be the same. The road ahead is going to be long and expensive. Heather is dealing with an aggressive cancer and will have to undergo chemo and radiation for at least 6 weeks with the hopes that will take care of the mass. If not, then surgery will be the next step which will bring on another huge life change.

Heather is a very hard worker and is always the first to help someone in need. She doesn’t ask for help very often because of her stubborn nature. She would rather help a person or animal in need. She has been a vet tech for just under 15 years as animals have a special place in her big heart. Her mama bear instinct kicks in when she sees anything or anyone hurting and being treated unfairly and will always stand up for what she believes in. During the entire pandemic, she worked 7 days a week to make sure others could stay safe and pets taken care of with the love and care they deserved.

Heather now needs everyone’s help. She currently doesn’t have any insurance and open enrollment isn’t until next month. If she is able to afford the insurance and the huge deductible, the insurance will not start until Jan. She cannot start treatments until she has insurance or money to pay out of pocket. She cannot wait until January. In addition to the treatments, she is going to need money for transportation, medicine, parking, hotel stays and food. Heather’s hours at work are going to be reduced drastically due to the treatments and surgeries. The decrease in hours will decrease her income but, the bills will keep coming.

We are starting this page to help defer Heather’s costs as we love her dearly and cannot be idle. She has helped so many in so many ways. Any financial donation will be greatly appreciated by Heather, her three children (Taylor, Drew and Carter), her brother Travis and his family, the all rest of Heather’s family and her friends.
