Hey all, to show the strength and support of our magical GSB community, we have put together a fundraiser to advance anti-racist causes. Your donation will be evenly split between the seven charities below.  The goal of this fundraiser is twofold: 1) to create an easy platform for people to give, and 2) to get higher leverage on our dollars. 15 of our classmates have agreed to run 2.23 miles so that their companies will match up to $125,000 in donations for a total of $250,000. We totally understand that many people have already donated or have other causes in mind, so there is certainly no pressure here. Also, we will of course share donation receipts for full transparency. Most importantly, racial equality is about how we all show up in our daily lives, and we're grateful for the conversation and reflection that's already happening in our community! 

1. Black Lives Matter  - global organization building local power to intervene in violence inflicted on black communities by the state and vigilantes
2. Equal Justice Initiative  - committed to ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the US
3. National Bail Out  - grassroots, community based movement reuniting families and resisting mass incarceration
4. Center for Policing Equity  - research & action think tank that promotes police transparency, equity, and accountability
5. Black Girls Code  - strives to empower young women of color to get into tech
6. Management Leadership for Tomorrow  - professional development program for high achieving women and men from underrepresented communities
7. NAACP : advocacy for civil rights, grassroots campaigns for equal opportunity, and voter mobilization
