Help Eric Recover

I have been battling a severe leg / foot infection for about the past 3 weeks. It all started as a little sore on the bottom of my foot. Last weekend, I noticed that my left foot was getting red and swelling. On Tuesday, I went to the doctor, and I was told it was an Infection and they put me on antibiotics. On Wednesday, I woke up and the swelling was worse, and my foot would not fit into a shoe. I went to the ER, they did an X-ray of the infection and said there was no infection in the bone and that was a good sign. I was put on an IV antibiotic and referred to a wound care specialist. I woke up on Thursday and my foot still not fit into a shoe. I went to wound care and once again I was told that it was a bad infection. They cleaned the wound and told me I would need to check in once a week to check progress. Once again, I was given antibiotics. I decided to rest on Friday and Saturday and let the antibiotics work. On Sunday, my foot was even more swollen and there was fluid and blood leaking from my foot. Once again, I went to the ER, this time I was told that I needed to have it operated on immediately and that I would be transported to a hospital 2 hours away. Upon arrival, I was advised that they would be amputating the top part of my foot first thing Monday morning, which they did. On Tuesday, the surgeon advised me that the infection was more severe than they originally thought and that they would have to amputate my leg below the knee. On Wednesday, the amputated my foot. On Friday, they will amputate the rest of my leg below the knee before I can even think of going home. I am thankful for my family's help and support. I won't be able to return to full-time work for a while and we would be grateful for any donation that you can give. My family is giving so much to support me through this, I want to help make sure we have bills and expenses covered for the next month or two. Again, thank you for your generosity.
